Several course offerings in Business Education at CRHS can earn college credit through Middlesex Community College at no cost. Students must successfully complete the CRHS course AND complete and hand in a completed Tech Prep Application for each course in which they seek credit.

Thank you very much for your application to be a part of the Middlesex Community College Tech Prep program. Once accepted, you can be very proud that as a high school student you will be earning college credits!
Please read carefully to understand how the Tech Prep program works. Remember, this is a program through Middlesex Community College and some procedures are different from your high school’s procedures.
For your information:
●The Tech Prep application must be complete, legible, and handed in on time.
●You must meet the requirements of the MxCC Tech Prep program to receive college credit. Each course may have different requirements. * For example, you cannot be exempt from taking a final exam because you have an “A” average in the course.
●Only select courses are able for Tech Prep credit. Check with your guidance counselor or the Tech Prep coordinator for a list of eligible courses.
●You will NOT receive your transcript from MxCC in the mail. You can obtain your transcript by contacting the Record’s Office at 860-343-5724. You will need your BANNER number. Your BANNER number is on the MxCC class roster. Your course instructor can provide you with your BANNER number.
●You DO NOT take the college placement exam in Math if you earn Tech Prep credit in MAT 137 or higher. Your MxCC awarded credit(s) may transfer to any college across the country. Check with the college Admissions Office. Once awarded Tech Prep credit, you are eligible to take the next course in the sequence when you are a freshman in college.
●You will have the opportunity to participate many programs sponsored by Tech Prep such as career fairs, seminars, and scholarship opportunities.
